UNIDO-JAPAN COOPERATION Webinar Series Joining forces for industrial skills development will be held on July 1, 10:30-12:00 (CEST) [July 1, 17:30-19:00 (JST)].

This webinar aims to discuss the challenges and prospects of industrial skills development in developing countries and build partnerships for effective development.

As a leading UN agency promoting industrial development, UNIDO is committed to sustainable and inclusive industrial skills development by taking initiatives in public-private partnerships.

Technological innovation and globalization have driven the continuous upgrading of industrial structures. At the same time, developing countries are still facing the challenge of a shortage of skilled workforce. In addition, the current spread of the novel coronavirus has further complicated the challenge of industrial human resource development.

UNIDO and the Government of Japan have been working together on many industrial skills development projects, and a new project has been launched to reaffirm these contributions. In this webinar, the participants will discuss the challenges and prospects of industrial skills development in developing countries to further strengthen UNIDO and Japan’s cooperation. Professor Shoko Yamada, the leader of the SKY project, will be speaking at this webinar.
